Hampton Roads Physician is published four times a year by DocDirect Publishing, a locally owned and operated company with a long and well-respected history of serving the medical community of Southeastern Virginia. The publication is mailed free of charge to physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioner, physicians’ assistants and hospital leaders in cities and counties throughout Hampton Roads – including Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, Smithfield, Gloucester, Williamsburg, and the Northern Neck.
Each issue of Hampton Roads Physician concentrates on a specific branch of medicine, and includes one or more feature articles about current trends and treatments in that area. Content is reviewed by our Physician Advisory Board prior to publication. The magazine also features articles on a wide variety of topics in medicine, carefully researched and written by our team of writers, as well those that are contributed by physicians and other medical professionals.
The physicians who appear on the cover are specialists in each featured branch of medicine. They have been nominated by their fellow physicians and/or by representatives of local hospitals or large practice systems, and are selected by our Physician Advisory Board.
